As educators, we work within a progressive tradition where the goal is to transform the relationship between adults and children. Instead of controlling and mandating what children do and how they learn, we aim to invite children to collaborate as generators of meaning and creators of ideas.
A voice for a thinking child. We believe that democracy isn’t just and limited to voting rights and political institutions. In fact, in CoAuthor we use democracy as a moral compass for our interactions with children. The way we treat and perceive children is an exercise of democracy in our daily lives.
